Terror Financiers Win - CAIR Celebrates

This week CAIR actually celebrated the overturning of a $156 million judgment against the Islamic "charities" that funded the terrorists who murdered a 17-year-old American at a bus stop in Israel by shooting him in the head.

Words can hardly describe our disgust at this, and the fact that CAIR would openly celebrate the freedom from accountability on the part of Islamic charities that finance terror is simply jaw-dropping.

CAIR's sister organization, the Hamas terror group, was behind the 1996 killing of David Boim, which might explain the giddiness.  Then again, any day that a Muslim can get away with killing a Jew seems to be a good day for CAIR.

As CAIR's own prophet Muhammad once put it, "Kill any Jew that falls into your power!"  (Ibn Ishaq 554)

CAIR's Teddy Bear Taqiyya

CAIR's Ibrahim Hooper served up a shovelful of taqiyya in response to Sudan's imprisonment of a teacher over the naming of a stuffed teddy bear.  Fortunately the editor of TheReligionofPeace.com was there to dig out the truth:

CAIR's Teddy Bear Taqiyya.

CAIR's Basim Elkarra Fails to Get Memo

CAIR's Sacramento director is currently trying to raise a fuss over a "death threat" supposedly received in November.

Apparently Basim Elkarra didn't get the memo, because last month we found out that at least one death threat against Muslims (sent to us) was actually being generated by one of CAIR's own associates, the "Reverend" Jim Sutter, whom the organization continues to promote.

CAIR Battles Free Speech with Intimidation

CAIR tells us that the United States has a PR problem in the Islamic world.  Thanks to the nearly constant string of terror attacks, and the indifference of groups like CAIR, Islam also has a PR problem in America.  Interestingly, CAIR proposes radically different remedies for each problem.

Although CAIR is highly critical of the US, under the pretext that it makes us a better nation, the “civil rights” organization has been doing its best to shut down critics of Islam.  The latest victim is talk show host, Michael Savage, whom CAIR is trying to force off the air through a campaign of intimidation against his advertisers.

Regardless of whether one agrees with Savage on other issues, it should at least be obvious that a terror-linked Islamic supremacist organization is probably the worst choice for determining what viewpoints the rest of us are allowed to consider.

In America, we battle free speech with free speech, not intimidation.  If Islam can’t compete in the critical arena, then there is most certainly a reason for it.

10,000 Terror Attacks: CAIR Doesn't Care

This week TheReligionofPeace.com documented the 10,000th deadly terror attack perpetrated in the name of Islam since 9/11.  In typical fashion, CAIR's biggest concern for the week, however, was a 6th grader who had been bullied at school!

It is this remarkable moral blind spot that generally distinguishes devout Muslims from the rest of humanity - the stunning inability to empathize with the suffering endured by those outside the faith at the hands of Islamic radicals.

The roots of Islamic narcissism are, of course, found in the Qur'an, which teaches that the "persecution" of Muslims is "worse than the slaughter" of non-Muslims.  This is why the teasing of a Muslim schoolgirl takes greater priority than the pervasive murder of infidels in the name of Islam.

No one does a better job of proving Islam's complete disregard for the equality of others more plainly than the Council on American-Islamic Relations.  Neither the TheReligionofPeace.com nor this website would exist without CAIR's reliable inspiration.

CAIR's Death Threat Hoax

This week's outrage arose quite by chance.

It's not everyday that we receive a death threat against Muslims.  In fact, in six years of our involvement in anti-Jihad activities we have never even heard from someone who hated all Muslims, much less wanted to kill them randomly.

So when our editor received an e-mail from an unknown person claiming to be recruiting degenerates for bombing and shooting attacks against Muslims and mosques, he naturally reported the matter to the FBI and to CAIR.

As it turned out, however, CAIR was less than eager to escalate the matter.  How come?

You can read about it here: CAIR and It's Con Artist

CAIR Plays the Race Card, Ignores Racial Genocide

Oh how fun it is when CAIR acts sanctimoniously about race relations in the United States!

This week, CAIR brought us the “plight” of a 17-year-old African-American, whose ordeal consisted of watching a teacher write the N-word on a chalkboard while discussing a Mark Twain book (the expletive was not directed at anyone in the room).  We have no problem with the girl’s complaint, but we object to the way CAIR exploits people of African descent for their own cause, while doing nothing to help those truly in need.

This “civil rights” wannabe has stayed absolutely quiet as hundreds of thousands of black Africans in Darfur have been massacred in the name of Jihad – merely because they are being killed by Arab Muslims.

Ironically, these true victims of racism, who barely survive in camps and squalor, share CAIR’s religion.  Unfortunately, they are the wrong race for the Arab-centric organization... and all the window-dressing in the world will never change the way it truly prioritizes black Muslims.

CAIR Serves Taqiyya to SDSU

This week CAIR served up yet another steaming pile of taqiyya, this time to an unsuspecting group of San Diego area college students, who were told that fear of Islam is based on a “fear of the unknown” (as opposed to, say, 14 centuries of all-too-tangible Jihad).  The reason that Islam is a challenge to Christianity and Judaism, according to CAIR, is that the religions are so similar.

Of course, that isn’t what the Qur’an says.  In fact, the very first Sura establishes a sharp distinction between Islam and Christianity (as well as Judaism).  As explained in Bukhari 12:749, Jews are those who “earn [Allah’s] anger” and Christians are “those who go astray.”  This is significant, because these words are recited by devout Muslims in prayer each day.

The very fact that CAIR can’t speak honestly about its own religion speaks poorly of it.  Islam has always been the “me too” faith, trying desperately to ride the coattails of other religions, even those it explicitly despises.

CAIR Lies about Receiving Terror Financing

Islam allows Muslims to lie to non-Muslims for the purpose of advancing Islam.  It is a practice called, taqiyya, and CAIR practices it to the letter as demonstrated by this article:

Little Green Footballs: CAIR Director Caught in a Lie

The crux of the piece is that CAIR director, Nihad Awad, has routinely lied to the media about the organization ever having received money from HLF, the "charity" that also funneled money to terrorists (with CAIR's help).

Although caught red-handed, we have not seen CAIR offer any sort of explanation.  Non-Muslims are beneath them, of course, so they probably feel that we simply aren't worthy of such.

Hey... whatever it takes to advance the cause of Islam...

CAIR Brags about Tolerance - Refuses to Practice it

For some odd reason, we actually thought that CAIR might acknowledge the horrible torture and murder of a Christian man in Gaza this week.  Not because the organization truly cares about the plight of religious minorities in Muslims countries (it doesn't), but because it would have been politically prudent in the very least.

Rami Ayyad, a bookstore owner and activist, was not only kidnapped, beaten, stabbed and shot to death by promoters of CAIR's religion, but the crime occurred in a territory controlled by CAIR's sibling association, the Hamas Islamist party.  His murder came a few days after nine other Christians were killed by a Muslim mob in Nigeria over a Muhammad cartoon (to which the victims had no connection).

Since CAIR has proven ties to Hamas, and routinely warns religious minorities about "going against the mainstream" in a Muslim society, we thought that perhaps they might make an effort to distance themselves from those who merely enforce the very bigotry that this "civil rights" group preaches.

But we overestimated CAIR.  Instead of condemning these attacks on Christians, the organization spent the week bragging about having joined with other Muslims in sending a letter to Christian leaders calling for "mutual understanding and peace!"

How typical this is of Islam, which abuses others in the name of religion, and then either ignores the victims or implies that they bear responsibility for their ordeal.  In this case, CAIR manages to do both.

Jihad Means Peace (Except When it Doesn't)

This week CAIR went to bat for Esam Omeish, the president of MAS and a former appointee to the Virginia state immigration commission - before he was forced to resign following the surfacing of a videotape on which he was caught exhorting Palestinians to "Jihad."

According to CAIR, Omeish merely meant the [elusive] peaceful, inner spiritual form of Jihad, and not the kind that Palestinians loudly proclaim when they blow up Israelis.  (From the tape, Omeish himself does not appear to be the least bit concerned with clearing up the Palestinian misconception).

Interestingly, however, even CAIR goes on to say that Jihad can mean "struggle in the battlefield... against oppression."  At the same time, CAIR insists that the Palestinians are being "brutalized" by the Israelis.

Um... putting two and two together then, CAIR is not only justifying Palestinian terror, but also making it that much harder to believe that Omeish wasn't referring to violence by his remarks (as everyone else suspects that he was).

Islam Means Never Having to Say You're Sorry

We've said it before, but if you want to understand Islam, then you need to pay attention to CAIR... close attention.

This week, the organization quietly dropped their promotion of a defamatory article on Robert Spencer written by the thoroughly discredited con-artist calling himself, "Reverend Jim Sutter," after he was outed as a fraud by PhonyRev.com.

As Sutter is discovering, CAIR always acts in CAIR's best interest.  In this case, it used the Phony Rev to smear a common foe and then dropped him when he proved to be an embarrassment (this even after Sutter went to bat for the organization like a good soldier).

The problem here is not merely that CAIR resorts to sleazy tactics in the first place (such as their other smears of Robert Spencer, here and here), but that there is never any follow-up apology even after they stop.

Islam apparently means never having to say you're sorry to the people you have wronged - particularly if they aren't Muslim.

A Gullibility of Convenience?

Is CAIR really this gullible?

For whatever reason, in its "American Muslim News" section, CAIR posted a "study" from Britain that claimed 1.25 million Iraqis have been "murdered" since the Iraq war began in 2003.

Let's see... this would be one in twenty Iraqis, or nearly 800 a day - 90% of whom are "murdered" without the government, hospitals, morgues or media knowing anything at all about it.  Someone must be very good at hiding dead bodies over there as well, since over 500 tons of them are disappearing each day without a trace.

And, since the critical injury to death ratio is 5 to 1, this would mean that 5 million Iraqis (or 1 in 4) have suffered egregious wounds in bombings and shootings... again, with hospitals somehow managing not to know about 90% of them.

Either CAIR is either extremely naive or they are pushing propaganda that they know is false (which certainly wouldn't be the first time).

CAIR's Crocodile Tears

This week, CAIR broke from a tradition of completely ignoring the anniversary of 9/11 by actually posting a handful of articles on the "event."  One condemned a new video from Osama bin Laden that praised the hijackers, and another was intended to be an empathetic piece from CAIR director, Danette Zaghari-Mask.

At first glance, this article appears to describe the inner angst of a Muslim taking responsibility for the role that her religion played in the attacks and is brought to tears because of it.  Unfortunately, a closer reading yields more cynical conclusions.

Although Osama consistently says that his motives for the attacks were to champion Islam, Zaghari-Mask is unable even to admit that Muslims were responsible, saying only that there were "reports" that the "perpetrators" operated under the banner of Islam. (Hello, conspiracy theory).

Although a bit cloudy about the "who" and "what," Zaghari-Mask is still quite confident in declaring that that the real agenda behind the attacks was to "silence the moderate Muslim majority" and cause the world to "believe that Islam itself is the instigator of terror."

The real victims of 9/11, according to CAIR, are Muslims!  Yep, there's your empathy.

Ahmed's Awkward Extrication

That great sucking sound that you heard this week was CAIR's portly director in Tampa, Ahmed Bedier, trying to free himself from the muck that he waddled into last month.

When two Florida university students were arrested in South Carolina on August 4th for transporting explosives, Ahmed Bedier immediately sprang into the role of unofficial spokesperson.  He hastily criticized the police for a "lack of evidence" and assured the public that these students were not troublemakers, but rather "really naive kids" who were targeted because of their "heritage and background."

My what a difference one month, an array of federal bomb making charges, a recently revealed terrorist connection and one box of bullets makes!  These days, Bedier is singing a far more cautionary note:

"If it's clearly a pipe bomb that's a different story. Then there is cause for concern," says Bedier, who now tells us that "it's unclear what's going on."

Needless to say, CAIR has also purged the front page of their site of the recent links to articles implying that these two Egyptian students were innocent victims of Islamophobia.

Nevertheless, the stench remains.

Politically Correct Religious Profiling

When CAIR claims to oppose religious profiling, do they really mean it?

Yes, but only so long as Muslims aren't the ones doing the profiling.

This week CAIR protested the practice of "patting down" turbans and headscarves at airport security checkpoints on the grounds that it is religious profiling.

But, here's the problem.  This also happened to be the same week in which it was confirmed that Saudia (Saudi Arabian Airlines) is actually confiscating non-Islamic religious materials from passengers.  This includes Bibles, crucifixes, statues, carvings and anything with a Star of David on it.

CAIR did not utter a word of protest.

Can't say that we expected any better of this Islamic supremacist organization.  Let's just hope more people start watching as well.

CAIR's Phony Reverend Carries the Water

Pardon us for missing a week, even though it was for a good cause.

Our editor was working like a dog last weekend to produce a response to the "Reverend" Jim Sutter's 63-page slur of Robert Spencer.

Yes, it seems like CAIR has finally found someone to do their dirty work for them, as they quickly linked to and quoted from Sutter's piece on their website as soon as it was available.  Unfortunately, they placed their already-battered credibility in the hands of a convicted felon and pathological liar.

The details... for anyone who's interested:

Another CAIR "Flying Imams" Stunt?

As with the "Flying Imams" publicity stunt from last year, which led to a CAIR lawsuit, the incident at Goose Creek, South Carolina over the weekend, in which two Muslim men are under arrest for transporting what authorities have announced are pipe bombs, may be another case of Muslims intentionally testing the bounds of suspicious behavior to provoke a response that can then be denounced as discrimination (by organizations to which they conveniently have connections).

In Minneapolis, naive eyewitnesses observed six imams engaging in actions that were obviously designed to cause anxiety to fellow airline passengers, such as speaking of support for terrorism, repeatedly changing seats and demanding seatbelt extenders from the crew when none were needed.  The Council on American-Islamic Relations was on the scene almost immediately to make accusations against both the authorities and the passengers, whose identities CAIR attempted to expose to civil liability.

Unlike the imams, who merely seized an opportunity that presented itself, 24-year-old Ahmed Mohamed and 21-year-old Yousef Megahed apparently had no legitimate reason to be in possession of explosives within range of an out-of-state naval base that housed terror detainees when they were stopped at Goose Creek.  Yet, as with the "Flying Imams," CAIR was immediately on the scene, with notorious Tampa director, Ahmed Bedier, denouncing the arrest, accusing the police of "racial profiling," and even personally vouching for one of the characters involved.

So, is this another set-up?

Consider that it wasn't against the law for these two "students" to be in the area in which they were stopped.  There is also some controversy about what they were carrying.  Was it pipe bombs or beefed up "firecrackers" (something carefully designed to evoke suspicion yet elude jury conviction)?

Finally, doesn't it seem a bit more than coincidental that CAIR's Ahmed Bedier just happened to know at least one of the men involved?  Was he the one who coached them on their "Paris Hilton" style smiling mug shots?

Is this a case of domestic terrorism or is it another "Flying Imams" stunt?  Did these men intend to hurt someone or were they just part of the new breed of Muslims pushing the envelope in order to artificially enhance their preferred status as victims?

If it is the latter, then we have to ask what role CAIR might have played in engineering the event.

CAIR Plays Sleaze Card to Smear Critic

This week, CAIR went after JIhadWatch's Robert Spencer, one of the world's foremost critics of Islam.  Not only did the organization attempt to bully the Young Americans Foundation into cancelling an appearance by Spencer, but CAIR spokesperson, Ibrahim Hooper shamefully told a CNN audience that JihadWatch advocated "killing all Muslims."

Such sleazy maliciousness reflects poorly on Mr. Hooper's adopted religion of Islam.  Anyone who is the least bit familiar with Robert Spencer knows that he is a gentle man who has never advocated violence.  What Mr. Hooper chooses to omit is that the comment he attributes to Spencer was actually something that had merely been posted to his site by a rogue Internet user (perhaps even a "troll").

Unlike CAIR's site (or any of their YouTube postings), Jihadwatch is interactive, but Spencer also states that he does not endorse anyone's opinion but his own.  Ibrahim Hooper knows this, but he will not tell the full truth out of personal desperation to smear one of Islam's most knowledgeable critics (whom he refuses to meet in open debate).

CAIR's underhanded and disingenuous tactics go a long way toward legitimizing Robert Spencer's efforts to expose Islam for what it is.

CAIR Vows to Sue Vigilant Citizens

CAIR is vowing to keep exposing and suing Americans who report suspicious activity involving Muslims.  The organization's Ibrahim Hooper made its intentions plain in an interview with Tucker Carlson on MSNBC, during which he compared "John Does" to a KKK Grand Wizard who unfairly targets African-Americans.

It's always comical when CAIR, which adamantly refuses to condemn the genocide of black Africans at the hands of the Sudanese government, tries "keeping it real" with black Americans by bringing up inappropriate analogies to race.

In this case, however, the consequences of CAIR intimidating ordinary Americans into staying quiet for fear of being labeled as bigots or of incurring thousands of dollars in legal fees will be tragic.

People will die at the hands of Islamic terrorists.

But rest assured. CAIR will be there (after the explosion) to "condemn" the violence and tell the survivors what further concessions Islam requires in order to make the pain stop.

CAIR Quickly Proves Critic's Point

Even by its own standards last week was an unusually bloody one for the Religion of Peace.  About 650 innocent people lost their lives in the name of Allah in 88 Islamic attacks across ten countries.

During this carnage, a syndicated radio host named Neal Boortz took a call from a Muslim who complained that he had “insulted Islam.”  Boortz, whose self-confessed style is rudeness and candor, blasted the caller and Muslims in general for not showing outrage over Islamic terrorism, but reserving their anger instead for those times when they feel their religion is insulted.

So guess which event CAIR chose to condemn this week  - the 83 deadly Islamic attacks or the radio host who criticizes Muslims for not being terribly bothered by it?

Needless to say, CAIR dutifully stepped over 650 bodies to focus instead on the "insult" that Muslims are too self-obsessed.

No doubt, the irony escapes them.

CAIR's "Good Doctor" Not So Good

Our CAIR outrage of the week was put together by Patrick Poole and appears in an American Thinker article, “The Curious Links of a CAIR Doctor Who Doesn’t Support Terror.”

As we noted here, it was nearly a full week before CAIR even acknowledged the London and Glasgow bomb plots.  When they finally did, Dr. Asma Mobin-Uddin, a Muslim physician and CAIR executive in Ohio, was put forward to express her personal “incredulity” and “outrage” in television interviews and editorials.

Lest we dared hope that Muslims might finally take responsibility for terrorism in the name of Allah, Dr. Mobin-Uddin also assured us that the bomb plots had nothing to do with Islam.  (In other words, don't expect things to change).

In his excellent article, however, Mr. Poole took a hard look at the good doctor’s website and found links to other sites that preach Jihad ideology and hate, such as the notorious Youssef al-Qaradawi, the cleric who sanctions suicide bombings.

Even the fact that Dr. Mobin-Uddin is associated with CAIR, which has its own links to terror, calls into serious question just how sincere her “incredulity” really is!

CAIR Ignores Bomb Plot, Jumps on Cal Thomas

Though ignoring the bomb plots in London and Glasgow for an entire week (before finally posting the official shirking of Muslim responsibility that typically follows high-profile attacks in the West), CAIR immediately jumped on a radio commentary by Cal Thomas that asked how long the U.S. and Britain would continue importing the people and ideology behind such hatred.

As Thomas put it, "Not all Muslims from the Middle East and South Asia want to kill us, but those who do blend in with those who don't."

CAIR, which seems to prove Thomas's point simply by claiming to be a mainstream Muslim organization while having known ties to terror, did not respond with any sort of cogent argument or acknowledgment of the problem.

The organization considers it a self-evident axiom that Muslims are entitled to immigrate to the West, regardless of the detrimental effect that it is obviously having on the rest of us.

But, in fact, the executive leadership of CAIR is composed primarily of first-generation Muslim immigrants who exhibit little appreciation for their "adopted" country, and absolutely no concern for the horrible plight of non-Muslims in their own native Islamic lands.

How can the West possibly be better off by importing more of the ideology that inspires such self-obsession and a distorted values?

Breaking News: CAIR Not Quite Human

Late Friday, CAIR posted a BREAKING NEWS item on their website concerning a British Muslim.  One might have thought that it concerned the events in London, which had dominated the attention of news outlets since the first explosive-laden car was found (by chance) outside a packed nightclub earlier that morning.

But no.

CAIR had absolutely nothing to say about the discovery of two nail-packed car bombs, designed to cause mass casualties and suffering for the cause of Allah.  For Muslims like CAIR, you see, it’s all about them.

Instead, these self-absorbed whiners were complaining about a British Muslim being held in detention following his arrival in Los Angeles on a flight from London only the day before.  This was their “BREAKING NEWS” item… the inconvenience of one Muslim man on a day in which 1,700 innocents were targeted for death in the name of CAIR’s religion.

The first rule of Islam: Muslims come first, regardless.

Reluctance to Take in Whining Muslims Called 'Hate Crime'

Our favorite unindicted co-conspirator has been under unusual public pressure lately, so, what better time to break out the old standby, the annual "CAIR Civil Rights Report," to distract some of the unwanted attention?

Despite the prestigious title, CAIR's "report" is not of actual incidents of civil rights abuse, but rather reported complaints received by CAIR. The organization does not guarantee the authenticity of each complaint, because it does not investigate each one.

Past reports have included both fictitious events as well as those later determined not to be hate crimes by the authorities. For this reason, CAIR does NOT make its database available to the skeptics (in contrast to TheReligionofPeace.com, which posts its data online).

Interestingly, about 1/3 of the claimed "hate crimes" are really just episodes in which prospective Muslim immigrants claim that they are not being allowed entry into the U.S. as fast as they feel they are entitled.

Perhaps this is because Americans feel they've already taken in enough peevish Muslims.

CAIR Refuses to Condemn Murder of Palestinians

This was a rare week in which CAIR actually condemned a terror attack (the Beirut bombing, for some reason).  Of course CAIR's opinion on the sixty-five others is left somewhat up in the air, given that the face of Islam in America felt that none merited mention.

Tellingly perhaps, this included no condemnation of Hamas for brutally executing Palestinian men in front of their wives and children, something that horrifies those of us in the Infidel world.  One suspects that CAIR's persistent reluctance to denounce Hamas stems from the close ties between the organizations - as revealed in court last week.

If Israel had executed Palestinians like this, CAIR would no doubt be having a coronary.  Instead, this week the organization is far more concerned about a woman in Philadelphia not being able to wear a hijab on the job.

June 9, 2007

CAIR, the Face of Islam in America, is Hamas

As if we didn't have it figured out already, this week Americans discovered for certain why CAIR refuses to condemn the Hamas terrorist organization...  They’re basically blood brothers!

As Daniel Pipes details in his excellent article, Case Closed - Government Documents Reveal CAIR Is Hamas, the link between CAIR and the group of cold-blooded thugs that deliberately murdered hundreds of civilians in horrible ways has now been thoroughly proven.

Quite honestly, all we can say about this is, SHAME ON YOU, CAIR!  You pretend to condemn terror, but you are terror.  By being the face of Islam in America, you make the case that Islam doesn’t belong in America.  You exist merely to deceive good people into thinking that Islam is just another religion, when, in fact, you are as comfortable with brutality in the name of Allah as the people who do the crime.  You and the terrorists both serve the same ends and the same god.

So, for the rest of us, as the terrorist-funded, terror-supporting CAIR continues to push Islam on America, let's connect the dots:

Terror is Hamas.  Hamas is CAIR.  CAIR is Islam.  Therefore Islam is...

CAIR Uses Veterans While Refusing to Condemn Troop Killers

On Memorial Day, the Saint Louis Post-Dispatch published what seemed to be a feel-good piece entitled, "Muslims Salute Veterans."  CAIR reposted part of the piece with the modified headline, "Muslims Salute Veterans, Oppose War."

This less-than-subtle spin concerned an event in which a rather shadowy group called the American Muslim Coalition showed up at a Veterans hospital to serve up some barbecue... and receive a lot of national press coverage.

We won't disparage the people who attended, since we don't know what their agenda may or may not be.  The group is so new that it does not even have a website.  Obviously, there is nothing wrong with serving veterans if there are no ulterior motives involved (as is clearly the case with CAIR)

What makes this particularly outrageous to us is not that the headline and article were manipulated to suggest this was an anti-war event, but that CAIR is using veterans for PR purposes while at the same time refusing to denounce the killing of Americans in uniform.

CAIR Says Poll Showing Support for Terror is Proof of Normalcy

Only days after "praising" the FBI for stopping a Muslim mass murder plot against Fort Dix, New Jersey, CAIR snapped back to form by criticizing the same FBI for supposedly "pressuring" Muslims to be informants.

Unfortunately for CAIR, this also happened to be the week that Americans discovered just how deep sympathy for terrorism actually runs with their Muslim neighbors.  A Pew Research poll shows that about one-third of Muslims support al-Qaeda to some extent and that 26% of younger Muslims agree with suicide bombings "in defense of Islam."

Given that CAIR is dedicated to convincing Muslim-Americans that Islam needs to be defended, the organization naturally downplayed the numbers.  Video posted on its own site had Ahmed Bedier claiming that [hundreds of thousands of potential terrorists] are "insignificant," while Ibrahim Hooper actually said that the poll shows Muslims "mirror the views of people of all faiths!"

In our opinion, Ibrahim really needs to get out more.

The Sound of One Hand Clapping

On Tuesday, CAIR tepidly hailed the appointment of a Muslim to the US Commission on International Religious Freedom.  This would be Talal Eid, the former head of the Islamic Center of New England's Quincy, Massachusetts mosque.

Ironically, Eid had recently been ousted from his mosque and forbidden to preach there by the same radical Wahhabi elements to which CAIR owes much of its funding and support.  Perhaps for this reason, we don't remember the so-called "civil rights organization" getting too upset at the time over the purging of an American imam from his post by foreign-backed extremists, reportedly over his being "too moderate" and "too involved in interfaith."

Another reason for CAIR's lukewarm response might be that it is nervous over the ultimate incompatibility between Islam and freedom of conscience - something that could be exposed if the commission does its job properly.

Hooper and company are no doubt reluctant to lend legitimacy to a group that they may soon find themselves having to accuse of Islamophobia.

CAIR "Adapts" to Fort Dix Massacre Plot

CAIR began the week whining that Muslim applicants for immigration into the U.S. are under an added layer of scrutiny because of their religion.  Three days later they were "applauding" the FBI for arresting six such "immigrants" looking to wage mass slaughter against the residents of Fort Dix, New Jersey in the name of Jihad.

It is highly doubtful that CAIR's accolades are even remotely sincere.  The would-be terrorists were caught after an ordinary American reported suspicious activity, something that CAIR has recently tried to intimidate citizens into not doing.  Three months ago, CAIR all but ignored a deadly shooting rampage by another Muslim immigrant at a Utah shopping mall.

The demand for Muslim immigration wasn't the only posting to make a hasty exit this week.  Shortly after the Dix mass murder plot came to light, CAIR pulled a video from their site which implied that Muslims believe there is a "war on Islam."

Americans, it seems, are less likely to import people who believe they are at war with America... particularly when they start acting like it.

CAIR Blames All Muslim-on-Muslim Violence on George Bush

Some 200,000 black African Muslims in Darfur have been massacred by Arab Muslims in the name of Jihad in the last four years, yet there has been nary a peep from the predominantly Arab CAIR about their plight.

This week, CAIR posted an article in which it claimed to have co-sponsored a “Darfur Awareness Week” at an Ohio university campus.  It’s tough to figure out what sort of “awareness” the group has in mind, however, since it steadfastly refuses to condemn the Islamic Republic of Sudan for its blatant sponsorship of the genocide.

So who does CAIR blame for this Muslim on Muslim violence?  Infidels, of course, and the United States in particular.  According to the article, CAIR is upset that George Bush will not take action to stop the violence.

Interestingly, the link to the article on their front page appeared right above another link to an article that criticized Bush for not disengaging from Iraq.

In other words, CAIR is simultaneously blaming Bush for trying to stop Muslim on Muslim violence in Iraq and for not intervening to stop Muslim on Muslim violence in the Sudan!

CAIR's Exclusive Virginia Tech Donation Drive

This week CAIR helped collect money for the families of victims of the Virginia Tech shooting... kind of.

Actually it wasn't for all the victims.  It was just for a rather exclusive group... of one.  (See this snapshot of the front page of CAIR's site).

This was because only one of the 32
was Muslim and, hence, only this family is deemed worthy of financial support by CAIR.  For all the talk about charity in Islam, Muslim often forget to mention that the zakat is to be used only for Muslims.

In fact, Islam is the only religion that denies full humanity to those outside its boundaries.  Consider that when an earthquake or tsunami hits a Muslim country, Christians and Jews are the first to donate and the most generous.

People in need are seen simply as people in need... unless it is the Religion of Peace on the giving end!

Free Speech for Me, but Not for Thee (in NY)

Last week, CAIR protested an incident in which a prison chaplain in New York distributed literature that “insults Islam.”  Other Muslims joined with CAIR and demanded that the Christian employee lose her job over the episode, in part because she portrayed Islam as a “false religion.”

However, CAIR and its cronies apparently didn't think the process through too well, because if it isn't appropriate to distribute literature that explicitly claims another religion to be false, then the Qur’an certainly wouldn’t make the cut.

The holy book of Islam not only categorizes Christianity as a false religion, but even calls for Muslims to fight the Christians until they either convert to Islam or pay the jizya.  And, as for Jews... well, don't take our word for it.  Read what a moderate Muslim site has to say about Jews in the Qur'an.  Let's just say that if CAIR wants to keep pushing the Qur'an, then the group should learn to be more careful about pointing fingers.

Imus and Animals

Say what you will about CAIR, the organization can definitely spot an opportunity.  This week, the Islamic supremacist group piled on embattled radio talk show host, Don Imus, and called for him to be removed due to “promotion of hatred and intolerance.”

In addition to what everyone else is talking about, CAIR provides further examples of Imus’s “hatred and intolerance,” such as an incident from 2004, in which he referred to Palestinian (terrorists) as “stinking animals.”

What makes this all very interesting is that CAIR is actively promoting a book which tells us that Jews are “hypocrites,” “spreaders of falsehoods,” “wishers of evil,” “greedy,” “wicked doers,” and a “cursed” people” (along with Christians).  Of course, we're speaking of the Qur’an, which, for good measure, also refers to non-Muslims as “the vilest of animals.”

So deeply ingrained are the double-standards of Islam, that we have to wonder whether CAIR is even aware of the blatant hypocrisy.

CAIR Goes to the Rally - Shuns Lesson in Tolerance

CAIR routinely demonizes its critics using extremely derogatory language and often pretends that Muslim-Americans are in constant physical danger from anyone who dares raise a voice against CAIR, or the poisonous brand of Islam that it represents.

So, when the United American Committee held a rally against Islamic extremism last weekend in Seattle outside the offices of CAIR, one might assume that CAIR staff members would be in bunker mode, hiding under their desks and calling for police protection.

Not quite.

The executive director, Arsalan Bukhari, actually waded into the crowd, where he was photographed, smiling and posing for pictures with what CAIR claims are the most dangerous “Islamophobes” in America.

Embarrassed by the obvious contradiction between rhetoric and reality, the national office immediately engaged in spin control, claiming that Mr. Bukhari was bravely trying to “confront bigotry,” but was met with “hostility.”

You can judge for yourself.  Here’s what a CAIR official looks like amidst what the organization calls the most dangerous and hostile people in America:

And here’s what an American looks like among the fundamentalists of CAIR’s religion – before being slaughtered:

So, just who is it that needs the lesson in tolerance?

Violent Qur'anic Verse Manipulated for Gullible Audience

Over the last several years, CAIR has become very skilled at manipulating certain people into believing that the agenda of Islam is something other than what it is.  Such was the case when CAIR’s Executive Director in Michigan, Dawud Walid, used a fragment of a Qur’anic verse to “prove” how compatible Islam is with social justice.

"The Qur’an says that ‘oppression is worse than murder’,” Mr. Walid assured his gullible audience, which probably didn’t realize that this verse actually inspires terrorism.  Here is the part that he left out:

And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter… (Sura 2:191)

Muhammad “revealed” this verse for the purpose of motivating his people to deadly attacks on Meccan merchant caravans.  The “oppression” that he spoke of was the simple fact that Meccans did not want Muhammad living with them, and had forced him into exile.

For CAIR to have to use a verse intended to inspire stealing and killing as the best example that the Qur’an can offer in the way of “social justice” speaks not only to the organization's disingenuousness, but to its desperation as well.

CAIR Piles on Women

This was a week that saw three Buddhist women brutally gunned down in Thailand, a Christian teacher beaten to death by her Muslim students in Nigeria, and a woman and her daughter killed in their home by Islamic terrorists in Iraq.

As with Zilla Huma Usman, the Pakistani woman horribly murdered by a religious extremist two weeks ago for not wearing a veil, none of these women received the least bit of sympathy from CAIR this week.

Far from even acknowledging these victims of Islam, CAIR's only  contribution to "Women's Week" was to attack two courageous female reformers, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Wafa Sultan.  This shouldn't be surprising.  Both women are prominent advocates of women’s rights in the Islamic world.

CAIR calls itself a "civil rights organization," but they certainly have a twisted interpretation of what this is supposed to mean.

CAIR Terrorizes Airline Passengers

In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, who could have foreseen that in just six short years, Muslim trouble-makers would be manufacturing their own victimization by intentionally frightening airline passengers with provocative behavior?

Enter the Council in American-Islamic Relations, which has officially run out of real victims of anti-Muslim bigotry and must now resort to inventing them.

In November of last year, six imams returning from a conference attended by anti-American terrorist sympathizers let their passions get the best of them and successfully provoked an incident on the Minneapolis tarmac.  The passengers who reported the suspicious behavior are now being targeted by these imams (and their CAIR handlers) in a lawsuit with major security repercussions.

CAIR feels that it is a Muslim's God-given right to scare the hell out of anyone they choose, as long as no actual violence ensues.  The burden is then placed on the victim, who must weigh the actual risk to personal or public safety against the legal consequences.

Will Americans put up with this... or has CAIR finally gone too far?

CAIR Skewers Moderates

It’s too bad that Islamic extremists don’t bother CAIR as much as do Muslims trying to make Islam into a peaceful religion.

In a week in which hundreds of people were slaughtered explicitly in the name of Allah, CAIR has had harsh words only for moderates such as Wafa Sultan, Hirsi Ali, and the Secular Islam Summit – a group of diverse Muslims united in their opposition to extremism and violence in the name of their religion.

In fact, CAIR is so proud of opposing peaceful moderates that it has prominently posted a video of Ahmed Bedier going after a Summit member on the Glenn Beck show.  You will see no such videos of Bedier (or any of CAIR’s other leaders) attacking an Islamic radical the way that he does the unfortunate Tawfik Hamid.

Bedier starts off complaining that secularists are the “wrong messengers,” and that the much-needed reform of Islam should be driven by people like himself who “love and respect” the faith.

By the end of the 9-minute segment, Bedier is showing his “love and respect” for Islam by taking advantage of his opponent’s struggling language skills and hurling cheap insults at him like “Jew” and “opportunist.”

It is obvious that Muslims like Ahmed Bedier enable Islamic terrorists by undermining the only legitimate opposition to them from within the faith.  If reform of Islam can only be done by the likes of him, then it will surely never happen.  Bedier doesn't even bother to speak out when Copts are murdered in his home country of Egypt.

For his part, Glenn Beck is clearly pandering to CAIR, the organization that recently targeted him for boycott.  In spite of what had just taken place in front of him, he signs off the segment by informing viewers that CAIR is just as committed to peaceful solutions as the reformers that it opposes.  The organization’s tactics of intimidation have paid off handsomely.

If Beck still has a backbone, then he might consider asking CAIR these questions the next time he has one of their spokespersons on his show

Islamic Jihad: CAIR Chooses Sides

Sami al-Arian is a convicted supporter of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.  He is also in the second month of a hunger strike to protest a contempt of court charge over his refusal to testify about the funding of Palestinian terrorist groups.

Erez Levanon was a 42-year-old Jewish man living in the West Bank before he was brutally stabbed to death by Islamic Jihad cadres while praying by the side of the road… yes, the very same terrorist organization that al-Arian and CAIR have both gone to bat for in the past.

al-Arian’s self-induced hunger strike has received daily attention and sympathetic support from CAIR, but the group adamantly refuses to condemn the murder of Levanon.

CAIR’s top concern for the week seems to be an 11-year-old Canadian girl, who was told that she couldn’t play soccer while wearing a hijab.

The oldest of the three children that Erez Levanon left behind is 11-years-old as well, but we don’t expect CAIR to be offering any sympathy on his behalf.

Free Speech for Me, But Not for Thee (in NC)

CAIR has suddenly become very concerned about fairness and open debate as it relates to religion... but only where Islam will benefit, of course.

A North Carolina classroom is under fire for allowing a Christian organization to distribute a pamphlet that compares Jesus to Muhammad.  Among the disparaging things said about Muhammad was that he "enslaved people, abused women and taught Muslims to terrorize non-Muslims and force them into Islam."  (That all of these things are true according to Islam's holiest texts seems to be immaterial to the debate).

Ibrahim Hooper says that his organization is outraged over the fact that only Christians were allowed to make their case, while the Muslim side was "unable to offer a rebuttal."  Unfortunately, CAIR's rhetoric is considerably cheapened by their own record on the issue of religion and balance.

CAIR has never shown the slightest interest in advocating equal rights in Muslim countries, where religious minorities are explicitly denied the freedom to share their faith as Muslims are.  In fact, CAIR has actively supported discrimination against non-Muslims by promoting fatwas to that effect.

"Free speech for me, but not for thee," seems to be CAIR's motto. Hopefully the rest of us will get wise to it before these hypocrites make their dangerous dream into reality.

CAIR "Victimized" by Utah Shooting

Four days after the fact, CAIR is finally expressing sympathy for the victims of last week's shooting rampage in Utah. No, not the people gunned down by an angry Muslim, or their families... but CAIR itself! That's right. the Council on American-Islamic Relations now suggests that it is the true victim of the attack.

It seems that CAIR has been receiving hate mail related to the shooting, and they are letting people know about their ordeal in their only published statement thus far related to the attack: "Vitriolic E-mails Zero in on 'Muslim'". Poor fellas. It's all about them, you see.

We suggest that the people of Salt Lake City issue a public apology on behalf of angry e-mailers and perhaps consider taking up a collection to soothe the emotional damage suffered by CAIR, as the group struggles to cope with the horrible inconvenience that this shooting has caused them.

Rubber Duck Hostage Video Prompts Outrage

After years of uncanny stoicism in the face of the most atrocious videos of kidnappings and beheadings in the name of their religion, CAIR has finally found a hostage tape so appalling that the organization is compelled to break its silence.

Granted the hostage in the video shot by students at Long Island University isn’t a real person… in fact, it’s a… well, it’s more of a rubber duck.  And the hostage-takers in the video aren’t actually Muslims… just pretending to be. And it isn’t so much the taking of a hostage that bothers CAIR.  It’s the portrayal of hostage-takers as Muslims, based on their accents…

Look, the point is that this is a start.  Islamic narcissism can’t be conquered overnight. Give it a thousand years or so and maybe a real human being having their throat cut by Islamic militants on tape might bother CAIR Muslims just as much as a phony rubber duck video…. maybe even more.

We can always hope.

CAIR Denounces Virtual Violence
(But Not the Real Thing)

One image is from a bloodless video game.  The other is from video of an American
shot by a sniper in Iraq.  Do you understand the Religion of Peace well enough to know
which one of these has CAIR outraged and which one they have never condemned?
